Marketing Assistant | Major Food Trading Company

We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to join a leading food trading company located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Position Summary

The Marketing Assistant supports the company’s marketing efforts through data management, content creation, and design.
This position requires a detail-oriented and creative individual who is comfortable working with both data and digital tools.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to brand growth while gaining hands-on experience in marketing, design, and data analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Entry & Excel Skills

• Perform accurate data entry and maintain marketing databases.
• Use Excel functions (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.) to organize and analyze data.

Sales Data Analysis

• Analyze sales data and develop plans to address performance gaps.

Collaboration with Sales Team

• Support preparation and coordination of campaigns, sales events, and promotional meetings.
• Work closely with sales representatives to expand customer networks and strengthen business relationships.

Social Media Management

• Create, post, and manage engaging content on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
• Monitor post performance and support community engagement.

Flyer & Graphic Design

• Design and update flyers and marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Publisher.

(Templates provided; experience with Publisher is a plus.)

General Marketing Support

• Assist in campaign coordination, event promotion, and marketing administrative tasks.
• Support the marketing supervisor with vendor communication and promotional planning.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all deliverables.
• Work with the IT department to compile sales data for vendors as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop effective category portfolios and growth strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Business-level English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
• Positive attitude and flexibility.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in tasks and workload.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing or a related field (experience in Japanese food industry or CPG preferred).
• Stable internet connection required.

Salary : $22–26 (determined after interview based on experience)
