Position Overview:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Marketing Assistant (SEO-Focused) to join our growing team in Islamabad. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career marketer with a strong interest in SEO, content publishing, and digital marketing. You’ll play a key role in supporting ongoing marketing initiatives, from optimising website content and publishing blogs to assisting with email and social media campaigns, ensuring The Accounting People’s digital presence continues to thrive.

This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for someone with 1+ years of relevant experience and a desire to grow within a people-first, forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities:

SEO and Website Optimisation

• Conduct keyword research and optimise on-page elements such as meta titles, descriptions, and internal links.
• Perform regular SEO hygiene checks, including fixing broken links and applying basic schema updates.
• Monitor Google Search Console alerts, submit sitemaps, and track performance improvements.
• Upload and format blogs, landing pages, and website content using WordPress and Elementor, ensuring responsive design and consistency with brand guidelines.
• Content and Social Media
• Maintain the Blog Tracker, ensuring topics, deadlines, and approvals are kept up to date.
• Repurpose blog and website content for social media posts across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Schedule and monitor posts using tools such as Buffer, maintaining a consistent posting cadence.
• Assist in drafting captions and copy for social content aligned with brand tone and messaging.

Email and Campaign Support

• Assist in building and testing Mailchimp newsletters, ensuring links, UTMs, and formatting are correct.
• Support review collection and award campaigns by maintaining outreach lists and progress trackers.
• Update and refine marketing SOPs and checklists to streamline future workflows.

Collaboration and Reporting

• Work closely with the Marketing Lead to support the execution of digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Assist in compiling basic performance summaries and updates from tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Search Console.
• Communicate progress clearly, maintain task trackers, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in SEO.
• Basic understanding of on-page SEO principles.
• Familiarity with WordPress or Elementor for website updates.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.

Desirable:

• Experience using Mailchimp, Buffer, similar marketing tools, Google tools (GSC, GA4) or similar marketing tools.
• Interest in analytics, keyword tracking, and SEO performance improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple small projects efficiently and independently.
