Elmwood Stock Farm is a sixth-generation, family-owned farm in Scott County, Kentucky, producing a wide variety of USDA Certified Organic foods—from vegetables, row crops, hay to grass-fed beef and sheep, pasture-raised pigs, chickens, and heritage breed turkeys—on nearly 400 acres. The farm combines traditional farming practices with innovative strategies to maintain a sustainable, thriving, regenerative farm ecosystem. Position Summary
Elmwood Stock Farm is seeking a creative and organized Marketing Associate to join our team and help share the farm’s story, products, and mission. This full-time, hourly position supports year-round marketing initiatives, including content creation, social media, email campaigns, website updates, print materials, and event promotion. The Marketing Associate will work closely with the management and marketing teams to engage customers, maintain brand identity, and help drive CSA, farmers market, B2B, and online sales.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Campaign Management
- Create, edit, and publish content for the farm’s website, e-commerce platform, email campaigns, social media channels (currently Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok), and print materials.
- Produce photography and video content for newsletters, social media, website pages, and promotional campaigns.
- Design and produce marketing materials for print and electronic distribution, including flyers, signage, brochures, weekly newsletter, and advertising.
- Implement seasonal and holiday campaigns, CSA recruitment initiatives, bag drops, abandoned cart emails, and win-back email campaigns.
- Track, review, and analyze metrics to optimize marketing performance.
Website & Digital Marketing
- Maintain and update product listings, landing pages, blog content, and website assets.
- Execute social media calendar, paid advertising campaigns, and content marketing strategies.
- Support UX improvements and e-commerce enhancements, including initiatives from ongoing projects.
Event & Community Engagement
- Support farm events, promotions, and farm tours, including planning, attendance, capturing content, and post-event follow-up.
- Assist in training staff on marketing messaging for CSA and farmers market engagement.
Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with the Marketing Division Director, Brand Manager, and Marketing Agency partners to execute the farm’s marketing plan.
- Organize and maintain brand assets, coordinate and support team meetings, and ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Assist with product descriptions, new product launches, and related marketing content.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Positive, professional, and collaborative attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong copywriting ability.
- Technologically proficient: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, project management tools, graphic design and video editing tools, social media applications.
- Proficiency or ability to learn: WordPress, WooCommerce, Flodesk, and other software.
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics and Meta Insights.
- Skilled in social media content creation, email marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, and editing and production of content.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic farm environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in digital marketing for farm, food, or direct-to-consumer brands.
- Experience with content creation, SEO, email automation, social media advertising, and web design.
- Understanding of e-commerce platforms and online sales strategies.
- Experience creating content and campaigns for social media platforms including video production, editing, and use of graphic design tools.
- Knowledge of analytics tools and ability to use data to guide marketing decisions.
- Familiarity with email marketing and automation (e.g., Flodesk) and integrating landing pages/forms with email lists.
