STARTING HOURLY RATE: $22.98-$25.81 hourly, depending upon education and experience, GH
POSITION PURPOSE
The Marketing Content Specialist advances the university’s brand and enrollment goals by creating clear, compelling, and audience-focused written content. This role develops materials for print, digital, and web platforms—such as brochures, flyers, and website copy—ensuring a consistent voice and messaging that resonates with prospective students, families, and the broader community.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
- Marketing and communications strategies, with an emphasis on audience engagement and brand consistency.
- Website content management systems; experience with content creation, editing, and maintenance.
- Search engine optimization (SEO) strategies and best practices.
- Project management principles and tools (e.g., Notion).
- Adobe Creative Suite applications, particularly InDesign
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic HTML and CSS (preferred).
Ability to:
- Write and edit clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Translate technical or academic information into accessible, audience-friendly messaging.
- Tailor tone and messaging for specific audiences (prospective students, parents, alumni, industry partners).
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies, platforms, and communication trends.
