Marketing Manager, Specialty Growth & Outreach

We’re seeking an experienced and relationship-driven marketing professional to join our team as the Marketing Manager, Specialty Growth & Outreach. This pivotal role will focus on growing new patient referrals and strengthening referral partnerships across Apex’s specialty practices — including pediatric, orthodontic, and endodontic offices.

This is not a traditional sales position — it’s a hands-on, relationship-based marketing role. The right candidate will be skilled in grassroots outreach, community networking, and referral development, and will be equally comfortable training others to do the same. You’ll serve as both strategist and coach: developing plans, joining our teams in the field, modeling effective outreach, and helping practice leaders build lasting referral relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to increase patient referrals and new patient growth for specialty practices.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with referring dental practices, pediatricians, and other local referral sources.
  • Accompany practice teams on outreach visits to model professional networking and train team members in effective referral relationship building.
  • Coordinate promotional and educational events such as open houses, study clubs, CE events, and community activities.
  • Partner with the marketing team to create supporting materials, outreach content, and referral communications.
  • Track referral relationships and engagement activity in CRM or database tools; measure effectiveness and ROI.
  • Provide regular reporting on referral data, marketing activities, and growth metrics.
  • Collaborate with operations and specialty leaders to identify opportunities for local market growth.
  • Maintain a professional, polished presence representing Apex’s brand standards and patient experience values.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, outreach, business development, or community relations — ideally in healthcare or service industries.
  • Proven ability to build trust-based professional relationships.
  • Comfortable with face-to-face networking and public speaking.
  • Strong coaching and communication skills; able to train others in relationship-building techniques.
  • Organized, proactive, and self-motivated with a high sense of accountability.
  • Able to travel to multiple practices and events; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Pay: $50000.00 - $70000.00 / year
