Marketing Program Manager

Job Summary
Smart Wave Solar is one of the largest and fastest growing residential solar installers in the Mountain West, and we have an exceptional online reputation. Less than 1% of our customers have come from door knocking, which is very rare in the solar industry. So, while our lead generation systems are effective, we are ready to take them to the next level. Our operations team can support $100M+ in annual installs — demand generation is the only bottleneck.

We are hiring a Marketing Program Manager to execute, manage, and scale our lead generation programs. This role is about execution and ownership, not branding or creative strategy. You will take proven marketing ideas and turn them into predictable, repeatable programs that generate qualified leads.

This role reports directly to leadership and has clear accountability for results.

  • Position Type: Full Time
  • Compensation: $115,000 base salary + up to $20,000 performance bonus (Bonus tied to appointment volume relative to targets)

  • Turning ideas into execution quickly

Core Responsibilities:

-Marketing Program Execution:

  • Own and execute all marketing programs including:
  • Online lead generation partners
  • Events (dinners, home shows, etc.)
  • Print campaigns
  • Referral programs
  • Affiliate programs
  • Local digital ads
  • Ensure programs run on time, on budget, and with clear tracking

-Lead Generation & Channel Management:

  • Manage and optimize existing lead channels
  • Test and launch new lead channels
  • Track cost per lead, lead quality, and conversion in collaboration with Sales

-Vendor & Partner Management:

  • Coordinate with external vendors and agencies
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and performance expectations
  • Ensure vendors are executing, not just reporting

-Analytics & Reporting:

  • Own attribution, tracking, and dashboards
  • Maintain clean lead-source data
  • Produce weekly reporting on performance and ROI

-Market Expansion Support:

  • Support marketing execution for new market launches
  • Build repeatable playbooks for entering new geographies

What Success Looks Like:

  • Consistent growth in qualified appointments
  • Stable or improving cost per sale
  • New channels launched and scaled
  • Marketing execution no longer dependent on the CEO
  • Clear, accurate reporting leadership can trust

Qualifications:

  • 3–6+ years experience in marketing operations, demand generation, or performance marketing
  • Proven experience executing marketing programs (not just planning them)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and attribution
  • Experience managing vendors or agencies
  • Ability to move fast in a high-growth environment

Solar experience is not required, but experience in solar or home services is a plus.
