Job Description: Vice President – Sales (IPO Division)

Position: VP – Sales (IPO)

Department: Investment Banking / Capital Markets

Reporting To: Head – Equity Capital Markets / Director – Investment Banking

Location: Pune

Role Summary

The VP – Sales (IPO) will be responsible for originating, managing, and closing IPO mandates by building strong relationships with promoters, SMEs, investors, and intermediaries. The role includes driving revenue targets, overseeing deal execution, and ensuring successful subscription through institutional, HNI, and retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Mandate Acquisition

Identify and acquire potential IPO clients (Mainboard & SME).

Develop strong promoter relationships and pitch IPO solutions.

Drive end-to-end mandate origination, including deal structuring and proposal presentation.

Coordinate with merchant banking, legal, and advisory teams for feasibility studies.

2. Investor Network Management

Build and maintain a strong network of QIBs, HNIs, family offices, PMS, and institutional investors.

Conduct roadshows, presentations, and investor meetings.

Ensure strong subscription across categories (QIB / NII / Retail).

3. Deal Execution Support

Work closely with Merchant Bankers for due diligence, documentation, and regulatory processes.

Support marketing strategy, branding, and communication for IPO campaigns.

Coordinate with analysts, legal advisors, auditors, and compliance teams.

4. Revenue & Performance Management

Achieve sales and revenue targets for IPO mandates.

Track pipeline, forecast business, and share periodic MIS reports.

Manage post-IPO investor relations for key clients.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of Capital Markets, SEBI guidelines, and IPO process (SME & Mainboard).

Proven track record of mandate acquisition and investor network handling.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build and manage relationships with promoters and institutional investors.

High ownership, target-driven approach, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Experience & Qualification

Experience: 7–12+ years in IPO sales, merchant banking, ECM, or capital markets.

Qualification: MBA/PGDM (Finance/Marketing), CFA, or related specialization preferred.

Industry Preference: Merchant Banking, Investment Banking, Broking, Financial Advisory, ECM.

Compensation

Pay: ₹11,152.64 - ₹55,147.72 per month
