Distinguishing Job Characteristics:

This position involves working under the general supervision of the Chief Operations Officer. The Marketing Specialist will lead the design and production of all marketing materials, manage social media presence, assist with grant narratives, and collaborate with the development team on fundraising and engagement campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Social Media & Digital Presence

o Manage, plan, and schedule content for all social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to maintain a professional and engaging presence.

o Create and drive engagement on Meta and grow following

o Collaborate with the Executive Team to create monthly donor/volunteer spotlights and measure engagement effectiveness.

o Audit, update and assist in maintaining website content to ensure information is correct and visually appealing

  • Design & Branding

o Create all designs and marketing materials needed for the agency, ensuring brand consistency.

o Design and organize the annual report, including donor spotlights, corporate recognition, and accurate statistics.

o Develop branded materials for fundraising campaigns, events, and programs.

o Generate fresh creative ideas while maintaining agency style guidelines.

· Grant Support & Communications

o Assist with writing and organizing grant narratives as needed.

o Lead, create, and assemble the agency’s monthly newsletter, ensuring timely and engaging content.

o Create electronic and print publications for donor communications, newsletters, and program updates.

  • Fundraising and Campaign Support

o Assist with the creation of marketing materials for fundraising campaigns, including but not limited to: Annual Giving, Fundraising Events, End of Year and Giving Tuesday

o Support the development team in producing campaign branding, collateral, and promotional materials.

o Design support materials for events and initiatives, meeting all deadlines.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

· Participates in weekly development team meetings and other meetings as needed

· Keeps education current and skills sharp.

· Proficient in Canva, Adobe, Outlook and WordPress

· Completes other duties assigned by the Executive Team.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Strong graphic design skills; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.

· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

· Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

· Experience managing social media accounts and growing engagement.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
