Marketing Team Leader (Full Time) - Denham Springs, LA
OVERVIEW
The Marketing Team Leader is responsible for supervising a team of marketing coordinators at our Denham Springs, LA office. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations of the marketing team, ensuring high-quality execution of campaigns and marketing initiatives that align with the company’s brand and strategic goals. In addition to team supervision, the candidate will manage the company website, create marketing collateral, enhance the company’s digital presence, and fulfill a variety of administrative and creative duties. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a graphic design background, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. This individual will also be expected to support creative design efforts while ensuring brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Team Supervision
- Provide daily leadership and oversight to the marketing team, including assigning projects, managing timelines, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align goals, delegate tasks, and ensure coordination across campaigns and initiatives.
- Mentor, coach, and develop marketing coordinators, offering guidance on design standards, content creation, and performance expectations.
- Provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development within the team.
- Maintain clear communication and workflow processes to ensure effective collaboration within the marketing department and across other departments.
- Monitor workload distribution and adjust assignments to optimize team performance and balance priorities.
Creative & Digital Marketing
- Work with public relations, advertising, marketing, website, and interactive firms on marketing initiatives. Proof all materials for content, design, brand consistency, and message.
- Ensure all visual content is on-brand, up-to-date, and visually appealing across digital and print platforms.
- Manage company website content, SEO development, and blog visuals, ensuring all media elements (images, videos, graphics) align with the brand’s style and goals.
- Lead the creative development and production of new marketing collateral, including digital ads, promotional flyers, banners, and social media graphics.
- Design graphics and layouts for web, print, and social media platforms using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva).
- Use and manage Google Analytics to measure web traffic/usage activity and assess the impact of design-driven content.
- Research and analyze competitors for design trends, product offerings, and pricing strategies.
- Lead efforts to grow internal mailing and emailing lists by developing visually engaging content that builds brand consideration and preference.
Social Media & Community Engagement
- Manage and maintain the company’s social media pages (including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring all visual content aligns with brand standards and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Work closely with management and the creative team to develop and implement new design ideas that drive more traffic to neighborhoods and raise awareness in the surrounding communities.
- Assist with event organizing and planning, ensuring all visual aspects of the event (e.g., signage, promotional materials, displays) are in line with the brand.
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
- Promote a positive working culture by collaborating with various departments and contributing to creative brainstorming sessions.
- Order, maintain, and distribute department supplies, including promotional materials and graphic design assets.
- Oversee signage ordering and upkeep for the Sales Team, ensuring visual materials remain brand consistent.
- Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- 3+ years of experience supervising a marketing team, with a proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate creative professionals.
- BA/BS preferred, with a focus in Marketing, Business Communications, PR, Advertising, or Graphic Design.
- Positive, upbeat demeanor with a can-do attitude.
- Strong self-organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow through to meet expectations.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a focus on detail.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, especially Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Experience with web design and content management systems (WordPress, Wix, or similar) is a plus.
- Photo editing and graphic design skills are essential for this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic web knowledge.
- Experience with SEO and Google Analytics for tracking content performance.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and team collaboration skills.
