Job Description Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Prepares surfaces prior to beginning work.

2. Fabricates, alters, repairs, and maintains walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, bathroom showers, sink counters, partitions, manholes, and other related structures or surfaces.

3. Lays blocks or bricks following blueprints, plans, or drawings.

4. Determines work requirements and sequence of masonry/tile assignments through review of work orders, or plans.

5. Lays out work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels.

6. Mixes cement using hoes, cement-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools.

7. Cuts or breaks bricks and concrete using hammers, powered abrasive saws, paving breakers, drills, and/or hand tools.

8. Molds expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.

9. Performs all tasks and responsibilities of Mason, which includes block work, plastering, floor and wall tiling (ceramic and marble).

10. Performs any other functions related to the job scope, which the management deems necessary as designated.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (and/or Other Attributes):

1. High School / Diploma or ITI Trade Certification or equivalent qualification. 1. 2 - 4 year’s masonry or bricklaying experience in Building Construction in UAE.

2. Knowledge of related tools, masonry techniques, equipment and materials.

3. Skill in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces.

4. Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.

5. Reasonable facility of Language (English) and communication skills.

1. The incumbent functionally and administratively reports to the Maintenance Manager of the Arenco Real Estate-Long Term

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
