Material Coordinator

We are looking for a Material Coordinator who can ensure the timely procurement, tracking, and delivery of construction materials to support project execution. In this role, you will work closely with procurement, logistics, suppliers, and site teams to ensure materials arrive on time, meet specifications, and align with the project programme.

About Your Team

This role sits within the Project Delivery Team and reports to the Project Management Team, working closely with procurement, logistics, suppliers, and site engineers to ensure smooth material coordination across the project.

Your Role

As a Material Coordinator, you will:

• Track procurement status, fabrication schedules, and delivery timelines against the project programme.
• Monitor material submittals and approvals (MIRs) to ensure compliance with specifications and approved samples.
• Maintain material registers and tracking systems for all project materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, logistics, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor fabrication progress for materials such as aluminium, steel, curtain wall systems, and façade components.
• Support site teams in managing material storage, distribution, and inventory control.
• Identify potential material shortages or delays and elevate risks that may impact the project programme.
• Ensure materials delivered on site comply with project specifications and quality standards.
• Assist with documentation and tracking to ensure accurate reporting and project coordination.

What We're Looking For Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 3-6 years of experience in material coordination, procurement support, or supply chain within construction projects.
• Experience working with construction contractors or façade contractors is preferred.
• Previous experience in UAE or GCC construction projects is an advantage.

Knowledge

• Familiarity with construction materials, including aluminium, steel, and façade systems.
• Knowledge of material submittals, approvals (MIRs), and procurement tracking processes.
• Understanding of fabrication schedules and delivery coordination.

Skills

• Strong coordination and communication skills with suppliers, logistics teams, and site management.
• Excellent organisation and tracking abilities to manage multiple materials and schedules.
• Ability to identify risks and proactively resolve material supply issues.
