Material Engineer

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

The Material Engineer will be responsible for reviewing, preparing, and submitting material submittals and compliance documentation for construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, consultants, and QA/QC teams, ensuring materials meet international standards and Abu Dhabi authority requirements. Experience with sustainable materials, testing standards, and authority approval processes (IDAS & IMAS) is essential. Candidates with exposure to landscape and infrastructure projects are preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review, prepare, and submit material submittals and compliance documentation for projects.
  2. Ensure all materials meet international standards and Abu Dhabi authority requirements (ADM, ADQCC, DMT).
  3. Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and QA/QC teams to verify material compliance.
  4. Manage approval processes through IDAS & IMAS for Abu Dhabi authority compliance.
  5. Support sustainable material selection and testing standards for project requirements.
  6. Maintain accurate records of material submissions, approvals, and compliance reports.
  7. Assist in material procurement planning, ensuring timely availability and quality compliance.
  8. Support landscape and infrastructure projects with technical material expertise.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Material Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of UAE experience in material engineering or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards and Abu Dhabi authority requirements (ADM, ADQCC, DMT).
  • Experience with sustainable materials and material testing standards.
  • Proficiency in preparing and submitting material submittals and compliance documents.
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority approval processes (IDAS & IMAS).
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with suppliers, consultants, and QA/QC teams.
  • Experience in landscape and infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Must be living in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
