We are looking for a skilled Material Inspector with proven experience in roadworks, infrastructure development, and bridge construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection and testing of construction materials including soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, steel, and other infrastructure-related materials.
- Verify that all materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications, standards, and project requirements.
- Review and maintain Material Test Reports (MTRs), certificates, and laboratory results.
- Coordinate with contractors, laboratories, and project engineers for timely testing and approvals.
- Monitor material storage, handling, and sampling procedures to ensure compliance.
- Prepare daily inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and follow-up actions.
- Assist in the approval process of Material Submittals (MS) and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
- Participate in site inspections for road layers, concrete pours, structural works, and utility installations.
- Report any deviations or quality issues to the QA/QC Engineer or Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Material Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience as a Material Inspector in roads, infrastructure, and bridge projects.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and local standards.
- Experience with laboratory testing procedures for soil, asphalt, and concrete.
- Familiarity with material approval processes, quality documentation, and inspection workflows.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and material specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
- Knowledge of local authority requirements.
The offered salary for this role is 8000 to 9500 AED
