Material Engineer (QA/QC) – Building Construction

Key Responsibilities:

Prepared and submitted Material Approval Requests (MARs) in compliance with project specifications, consultant requirements, and Sharjah Municipality regulations.

Demonstrated strong expertise in preparing comprehensive material submittals and method statements, ensuring all technical documents are accurate, complete, and approved by consultants.

Ensured all construction materials met UAE standards, including ASTM, BS, ACI, and local authority guidelines.

Coordinated with procurement and suppliers to obtain technical data sheets, certifications, and method statements for approvals.

Conducted Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and site inspections for incoming materials such as concrete, reinforcement steel, blocks, and finishing materials.

Arranged and witnessed third-party laboratory testing in approved laboratories as per Sharjah Municipality requirements.

Verified compliance of materials with approved submittals prior to installation on site.

Maintained organized records of MARs, MIRs, test reports, approvals, and inspection logs for audits and authority review.

Raised and managed Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensured timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Ensured proper storage, handling, and traceability of materials according to QA/QC procedures.

Liaised with consultants for material approvals, inspections, and closing comments, ensuring compliance with project quality plans.

Supported internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and Sharjah Municipality quality requirements.

UAE 10+ experience and and building projects in Sharjah is added advantage
