Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Prepare, plan, schedule and process the purchase of spare parts, tools, materials, and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner to support safe and reliable operation and maintenance of the NPP.
- Support nuclear supplier qualification, update the qualified supplier list.
- Understand specifications and scope of work/material masters and ensure all QA, H&S, engineering, and end user requirements are covered.
- Review technical specifications for purchasing materials and equipment.
- Assist end users in creating PR, help them select correct parameters in the system.
- Create scope of work/material masters by sending RFIs to the market to gather information.
- Arrange supplier meetings with end users and site visits, if required.
- Review PR frequency of consumption to identify potential strategic contracts.
- Interface with Nuclear Specification Engineering and QA for safety quality materials & nonconformance resolution.
- Assess quotes ensuring they comply with policies and allocated budgets.
- Review competitive bids and quotes, evaluate proposals with subject matter experts.
- Assist vendors in raising bid exception, deviation and clarifications and resolve with support of Nuclear Specification Engineering.
- Discuss and resolve supply issues with QA, specification engineering, inventory management, warehouse, logistics etc.
- Prepare commercial evaluation and recommendation for award with thorough justification per Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Ensure terms and conditions are agreed by vendors and none of the clauses remain open.
Professional Certifications
- Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- 3 years relevant experience in procurement/purchasing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
- Procurement experience in the energy sector.
- Power plant experience.
