Materials Coordinator – Kernersville Medical Center


Kernersville Medical Center is seeking a Materials Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Operations team. In this role, you will serve as a key partner to departments across the hospital, ensuring they have the supplies and support needed to deliver excellent patient care. You will be part of a small, dedicated team, working closely with both team members and leaders to keep operations running smoothly.


What you’ll do:

  • Deliver clean linen to departments

  • Order and receive supplies

  • Keep supply areas organized and well-stocked

  • Monitor par levels to prevent shortages

  • Audit and remove expired goods

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory software

  • Highly Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience using pallet jacks, dock boards, and hand trucks

Qualifications:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, required

Experience

  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferred

  • Experience in inventory, logistics, or related functions, preferred

Required Skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and stooping

  • Good visual acuity and manual dexterity

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and move objects weighing 21–50 lbs

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

  • Ability to enter data for extended periods using repetitive hand movements

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory control software
