Materials Coordinator

We are looking for a Materials Coordinator to join Kaiser Aluminum's at our Newark Ohio aluminum casting, extrusion and wire draw plant!

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for planning the 10” Mill Production to meet customer demand and assist with other miscellaneous Materials Department tasks.

What you will work on:

• Track capacity and forecast for Redraw Rod (RDR)
• Book RDR orders
• Create practices for RDR products
• Create lots for orders
• Schedule the RDR Mill
• Manage bloom inventory
• Request casting needs for blooms
• Monitor packaging needs for RDR customers
• Key participant in bi-annual Physical Inventory
• Create lots for all log orders
• Cross-trained to back-up Traffic Coordinator
• Assist with cycle counting in Remelt as needed
• Manage consignment prime inventory
• 75% office and 25% plant floor

Requirements:

What you will bring to the role:

• High School Diploma Required, Associates or Bachelors Degree Preferred

• Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing experience; Preferred Planning/Shipping experience

• Excellent Problem Solving Skills

• PC Skills including Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams, ERP

• Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal) and Organization Skills.

• Ability to work in Teams Environment

• Ability to Multi-Task
