Founded in 1954 as Center Medical Hospital, Kentfield Hospital- now a subsidiary of American Advanced Management-is a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) serving patients across two locations in Marin County and San Francisco. POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing and organizing the day-to-day Materials Management needs and operations for both the Kentfield and San Francisco facilities for Kentfield Hospital. This position will require travel to and from Kentfield to San Francisco on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate will research purchasing options, monitor inventory, order supplies, receive and disburse shipments and deliveries, and will direct and recommend purchases within designated purchasing group organizations.

POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for managing Materials Management Coordinators and Technicians in both Kentfield locations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Verbal ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of previous hospital materials management experience required, with increasing managerial level responsibility in materials or related field.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • English is the primary language of the facility. Ability to read and write, communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and to respond to appropriate questions regarding work process or work product.
