LOCATION: Hybrid in Lombard , IL

COMP RANGE: $ 102 , 898 - $ 154 , 347

Griffith Foods is hiring a Materials Manager to provide key leadership in the coordination and management of payroll activities in the United States and Canada.

T his is your opportunity to establish and lead raw material inventory , working capital strategies to support customer requirements and corporate objectives .

As a Materials Manager , your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring materials arrive on time, balancing inventory (NWC) with manufacturing schedules.

  • Ownership and maintenance of MRP Planning and Inventory parameters in ERP for Purchased items. ( i.e. Coverage groups, Safety Stocks, etc.)

  • Ownership and maintenance of raw material inventory strategy and execution.

  • Ensure daily execution on: RM availability to support production schedules, proactive communication of issues that may affect production plan and/or sales orders.

  • Lead the At-Risk Inventory process to drive down Loss on Inventory costs by identifying materials at-risk due to expiration , lost business, slow-movement , or excessive days on hand.

  • Owning, measuring and driving improvement over OEE lost due to material delays.

The Materials Manager position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Have extensive data literacy experience- data analysis, ad hoc reporting, AI experience is a plus.

  • Have experience building models in inventory strategy

  • Have experience in configuring and making changes to configurations in ERP systems.

  • Are strategic and tactical- not just responsive

  • Have planning and materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Are able to e ffectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management , Operations Management, or Business.

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years inventory management and planning experience

  • 3+ years experience in Systems: order processing, ERP platforms, planning, forecasting, and Microsoft tools necessary

  • Willingness and ability to work onsite in L OMBARD, IL OR OSWEGO, IL OR AVON, OH 1-2 days per week

What will set you apart:

  • APICS certification desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
