Overview:
The Construction Procurement Materials Specialist handles all aspects of Supplier Quality Surveillance associated work and accountable for the expediting Project Materials & deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Understand Procurement Contract, Inspection requirements

Understand Material specifications & Certifications requirements

Identify Criticality Rating / Inspection Level for all components for scope of supply, and work with Procurement Manager and PM to create inspection Plan

Schedule qualified personnel from Third Party to perform supplier quality surveillances/inspections

Ensure supplier quality surveillance/inspection records and documentation is developed and maintained

Perform Supplier Audits where required

Develop comprehensive Expediting Report for all the long lead items capturing all control points and update on weekly basis.

Track Progress and proactively raise concern to Procurement Manager on regular basis.

Ensure completion of vendor documentations including not limited to Vendor data, ITP, Inspection notifications, operation manuals etc
Local Requirements:
- Project Based Assignment on Abu Dhabi visa

Job Location is Dubai Office. Travel to Ruwais Project site visits on need basis
Qualifications:
- Suitable Engineering degree (typically Mechanical or Welding Engineering) / Diploma Engineering
Skills and Behaviors:
- Knowledge in applicable Management System documentation.

Act as focal point for all Permanent Project Material Vendor Inspections & expediting.

Understands project requirements and ensures compliance.

Compiles project records and handover to the projects for final documentation related to procurement and suppliers.

Can communicate effectively with internal and external disciplines at multiple levels.
Preferred knowledge of the following codes:

ASME Section II, ASME Section V, ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, ASTM Material, API 650,
-
API 620, AWWA D100, AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3, ASME B16.5/B16.47 etc… (including product specific related codes as and when needed)
