Materials Supervisor

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi for a Material Site Supervisor. The Material Supervisor is responsible for supervising day to day material handling, storage, tracking, and inventory control activities. The role ensures that materials are received, inspected, stored, issued, and returned in accordance with project requirements and company procedures. The Material Supervisor supports the Material Management Lead and coordinates closely with warehouse staff, procurement, engineering, and construction teams.

What You'll Be Accountable For Material Coordination & Planning

• Support material planning and ensure materials are available at site or warehouse as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, construction, and vendors to follow up on material status and delivery schedules.
• Assist in implementing material requirement plans based on project schedules and specifications.
• Supervise material receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and return activities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss.
• Maintain organized and safe warehouse and laydown areas in accordance with company standards.

Material Tracking & Inventory Control

• Maintain accurate material tracking systems, logs, and documentation.
• Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, surpluses, and potential material related risks.
• Support corrective actions to address material gaps or excess inventory.
• Ensure timely updates of material records, delivery notes, and stock movement reports.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare material status updates, inventory summaries, and daily/weekly reports for the Material Management Lead.
• Maintain proper documentation for receiving, inspection, issuance, and return processes.
• Support internal audits and compliance checks related to material management.

Team Supervision

• Supervise warehouse staff and material handlers in day to day operations.
• Ensure team adherence to safety requirements, material handling procedures, and project standards.
• Provide guidance and support to team members to improve efficiency and accuracy in material operations.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is required, providing a strong foundation in materials management and operational processes.
• Knowledge of material tracking systems, ERP tools, and standard warehouse practices.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or inventory control within construction, EPC, oil & gas, or industrial project environments.
• Hands on experience supervising material receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and return processes.
• Experience coordinating with procurement, engineering, construction, and vendor teams regarding material status and delivery schedules.
• Practical experience using material tracking systems, ERP platforms, or inventory management tools.
