Math Tutor

Sylvan Learning is the industry leader in supplemental education for students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. We are looking for a Math Tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve real results at our Lewis Center location.

As a Sylvan Math Instructor, you will be trained on our proven curriculum and equipped with the tools to deliver personalized instruction in a small group setting. Students range from those needing foundational support to those preparing for the SAT/ACT, covering material from Algebra through Calculus. Evening and weekend hours are available.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging, student-centered math instruction using Sylvan programs
• Motivate and encourage students throughout each session
• Track and document student progress
• Build positive rapport and a fun, supportive learning environment
• Communicate student needs and progress to the center director

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and/or Calculus
• 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple students at once
