Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various mathematical disciplines, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Discrete Math. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and utilizing innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding and performance in mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Teach a range of mathematical subjects including Trigonometry, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Differential Equations.
• Utilize learning technology and instructional design strategies to enhance the educational experience.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide tutoring and mentoring support to students who require additional assistance.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives.
• Engage in academic advising for students regarding their educational pathways.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching methodologies and advancements in mathematics education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience working with students in an educational setting; classroom experience is essential.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students of varying abilities.
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management techniques is a plus.
• Experience in higher education teaching or private school environments is desirable.
• Knowledge of scientific research principles related to mathematics education is beneficial.
• Proficiency in lesson planning, proofreading, and classroom management techniques.
• Experience with laboratory settings or subjects such as Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology can be advantageous. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
