Mechanical CAD Designer

Position: CAD Designer – Full Time

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering design and be proficient in various CAD software applications. This role requires creativity, technical knowledge, and the ability to produce high-quality designs that meet industry standards. The CAD Designer will work closely with engineers and project managers to develop schematics and system designs for a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

Job Description the CAD Designer will learn and be able to perform the following functions. Digital Scan 3D will help train

• Product/Part Design using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit a plus.
• Develop mechanical designs and assembly drawings
• Utilize GD&T principles to ensure precision in design specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Conduct drafting tasks including system design, schematics, and technical writing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and revisions.
• Reverse Engineering Parts & Assemblies from 3D scanned data Using Design X.
• 3D Scanning support, 3D Printing as needed.
• Some project travel. Any other general/misc. projects as needed.

Qualification

• SolidWorks/CAD experience – A must have. 1-year minimum professional experience.
• Mechanical Engineering Degree a plus. Associate degree minimum.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk, and Inventor is essential.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and reports.
• Strong technical knowledge, precise and concise written skills
• Organized/clean, keen to learn, extra attention to detail, team player, respectful.
• SolidWorks, Geomagic Design X, Various 3D Scanner Software

Probation Period
$65,000/year. No Benefits included. Payable Bi-Weekly. After a successful 3-month probationary period. The CAD Designer should be able to perform the above listed responsibilities

Salary Post Probation
$70,000/Year + Full Benefits. Payable Bi-Weekly. Bonus: Up to 10% of Salary given at the end of the year depending on performance. Medical: Option to opt into medical plan provided by Digital Scan 3D.
