Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves designing static and rotating equipment, developing mechanical systems, and providing technical support for oil & gas and petrochemical projects. This position offers a hybrid work model with flexibility to work remotely while attending key meetings and site visits near Nagercoil.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and develop mechanical systems, static and rotating equipment for oil & gas facilities.

· Prepare equipment datasheets, technical specifications, and material requisitions.

· Review and approve vendor drawings and mechanical documentation.

· Perform calculations for pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and other process equipment.

· Ensure designs comply with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.

· Collaborate with process, piping, civil, and electrical teams for integrated plant design.

· Support FEED and detailed engineering phases of projects.

· Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.

· Participate in design reviews and ensure safety, operability, and maintainability requirements are met.

· Work with vendors and contractors to resolve mechanical design-related issues.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· 3–8 years of experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or petrochemical projects.

· Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment design.

· Proficiency in mechanical design software such as PVelite, Compress, Tank, HRTI, AutoCAD, or equivalent.

· Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).

· Experience reviewing vendor documents and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
