Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience in building construction projects within Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing and developing HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire & life safety (FLS) systems, ensuring compliance with local standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, detail-oriented, and capable of preparing accurate design drawings and reviewing MEP specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and FLS systems for commercial and residential building projects.
• Prepare design drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Conduct load calculations and perform system sizing for ducts and pipes.
• Review and finalize MEP specifications to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Coordinate mechanical design with architectural, structural, and electrical teams.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input during project execution.
• Liaise with authorities and contractors to ensure design approvals and implementation compliance.
• Stay updated with local building codes, sustainability standards, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in building construction projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong knowledge of UAE codes, ESTIDAMA, Civil Defence, and local authority regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant HVAC/plumbing design software.
• Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: AED 12,000 – 15,000 per month (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
