Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in automotive product design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in CATIA, SolidWorks, sheet metal design, product development, and jigs & fixtures. This role requires innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automotive components, assemblies, and systems using CATIA and SolidWorks.
• Work on sheet metal design, product design, and validation for automotive applications.
• Develop and design jigs, fixtures, and tooling for manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers).
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, DFMEA, and DFM/DFA considerations.
• Review and release design documentation, BOMs, and technical drawings.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and production ramp-up.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design within the automotive industry.
• Strong expertise in CATIA V5/V6 and SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience in sheet metal, plastics, product design, and GD&T.
• Proven experience in designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
• Knowledge of automotive standards and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
