Mechanical Engineer
for one of our clients based in
Abu Dhabi
Accountability:
-
Ensure that project goals are achieved within the defined scope, timeline, and discipline budget allocated.

Accountable for the all-project engineering documents submission and approval from consultant.
-
Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and organizational standards.
-
Accountable for all tools and equipment allocated for the project.
-
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
-
Accountable for addressing and resolving any technical issues or risks during the project lifecycle.
Authority:
-
Make technical decisions to address engineering challenges within the project scope.
-
Approve technical designs, and modifications within defined limits.
-
Assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members, site engineers.
-
Authorize procurement of materials, tools, and equipment as per project requirements.
-
Escalate unresolved issues to senior management when necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Develop project schedules, resource allocation plans in coordination with planning engineer.
-
Review technical designs, specifications, and all engineering documents.
-
Coordination with design team for the development of Shop drawings.
-
Coordinate with estimation department for the selection of materials.
-
Submission of all engineering documents as per schedule.
-
Coordinate with the approving authority for timely approval of engineering documents.
-
Submission of all RFI to design consultant and if required to client technical advisor for information.
-
Coordinate with Project manager and estimation team and get approval for cost associated with design change or variation works before submission of documents for approval.
-
Coordinate with Project manager for installation of temporary facilities (Plumbing and HVAC work in temporary office).
-
Oversee daily project activities to ensure alignment with plans and schedules.
-
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams for timely delivery of materials and services.
-
Coordinate with QC team for the delivered material quantity and quality checks.
-
Inspect project deliverables for compliance with quality and safety standards.
-
Coordinate with QC department for timely inspection of installed facilities.
-
Lead and guide project team members, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
-
Maintain effective communication between stakeholders to avoid misunderstandings or delays.
-
Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges as they arise.
-
Propose and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
-
Attend the project meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
-
Coordinate with commissioning team for the development of testing commissioning plans and schedules
-
Review all T&C documents and method statements before submission.
-
Coordinate with suppliers and other stake holders for pre- commissioning and commissioning activities
-
Participate in system testing and verify performance
-
Monitor the results ensuring that all tests meet the requirements.

Coordinate with site engineer and design team for the preparation of as built drawings
-
Coordinate with manufactures and client facility team for training programs.
-
Coordinate with document control team for the submission of Hand over documents.
-
Coordinate with Project Manager for the demobilization activities.
-
Prepare lesson learned documents.
Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain accurate records of project plans, progress, and changes.
-
Keep the record of all project logs.
-
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management.
-
Track project expenses and maintain a record of financial documentation and manpower used.
-
Keep Record of project completion reports, as-built drawings, and T&C documents for future reference.
