Overview:
Marmi Engineering Co. W.L.L., a leading name in the construction and design sector in Qatar, is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering department. This role is essential for designing, developing, and enhancing mechanical systems and components in our projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a track record of innovation in construction-related mechanical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical services.
- Utilize CAD software for designing mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, civil engineers, and electrical engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure mechanical components are procured and installed according to project schedules.
Analysis and Problem-Solving:
- Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications for mechanical systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot design issues, providing innovative solutions to ensure project objectives are met.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all mechanical engineering projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, conducting quality assurance checks to ensure operational efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design files, calculations, and reports.
- Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on the status of mechanical engineering activities.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of the latest mechanical engineering technologies and practices relevant to the construction industry.
- Recommend improvements to mechanical systems and processes to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the construction or design industry, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and safety practices.
