Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedMechanical Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air conditioning and mechanical systems related to building construction projects, with proven experience managing MEP (AC, Mechanical and Plumbing) works on-site, from design coordination to execution and handover. A solid understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and authority requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage mechanical engineering aspects of construction projects including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and drainage systems.
• Review and interpret mechanical designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and local regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Monitor site progress and supervise installation activities to ensure quality and timely completion of mechanical works.
• Prepare and submit technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals to relevant authorities and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Attend site inspections, testing & commissioning activities, and ensure snag-free project handover.
• Resolve technical issues and provide guidance during construction phases.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cost estimations, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for mechanical systems.
• Liaise with local authorities (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense) for necessary permits and inspections.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the UAE construction industry.
• Proven experience in MEP project execution for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and authority procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and other design and calculation software.
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
