Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance Team. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth production operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical systems (e.g., motors, conveyors, gearboxes, ovens, sealers).
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Modify or design machine parts when needed, using technical drawings or CAD software.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure all repairs and installations comply with safety and quality standards.
• Participate in equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with machinery repairs, welding, or fabrication a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a production environment with exposure to heat and food-related conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 per hour
