About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with solid expertise in Aluminium Smelter Brownfield projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of EGA safety procedures and a strong background managing electrical and mechanical construction projects on-site. You will play a critical role in leading cross-functional teams, ensuring project quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise various electrical and mechanical construction projects within the Aluminium Smelter Brownfield area.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including electricians, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution.
• Collaborate closely with contractors’ engineering and project teams to evaluate and implement upgrades, modifications, or replacements of electrical and automation equipment on-site.
• Review and provide technical advice on fabrication, shop drawings, and material submittals from contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality and progress of electrical and mechanical installations.
• Ensure strict compliance with EGA safety procedures and quality standards on-site.
• Manage and oversee the safety and quality aspects of assigned projects.
• Apply knowledge of Reduction Potlines, associated equipment, and crane systems to project execution.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in contract and project management within heavy industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience managing electrical construction projects on-site.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
• Deep knowledge of Reduction Potlines, crane systems, and Aluminium Smelter operations.
• Familiarity with EGA safety procedures and quality control standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
