Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineer (Fresher) will support engineering, construction, and maintenance activities for Oil & Gas projects. This role is suitable for newly graduated mechanical engineers looking to gain hands‑on experience in site operations, equipment installation, inspection, and maintenance under the supervision of senior engineers. The candidate will work closely with project, QA/QC, HSE, and construction teams to ensure activities are executed safely and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in mechanical engineering activities related to Oil & Gas projects.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Review basic mechanical drawings, layouts, and material specifications.
• Assist in monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors for day‑to‑day mechanical works.
• Participate in inspections, punch listing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support preparation of technical reports, daily logs, and site progress updates.
• Assist in tracking materials, tools, and equipment required for mechanical works.
• Ensure adherence to HSE guidelines and company safety policies at site.
• Support audits, inspections, and quality checks as required by clients or internal teams.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience:

• Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of experience in Oil & Gas, construction, or industrial projects.
• Field exposure through internships or training programs is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and piping works.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
• Basic knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements preferred.
