Job description:

To prepare accurate, competitive, and technically compliant cost estimates for mechanical works based on project drawings,

specifications, and contractual requirements. The role involves detailed quantity take-offs, market rate analysis, and coordination with

vendors and subcontractors to ensure reliable pricing for tenders and variation orders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Tender Management

. Review mechanical-related tender documents, including BOQ, specifications, and MEP drawings.

. Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to evaluate project-specific risks and constraints.

. Raise technical RFIs to clarify missing or conflicting information.

. Ensure timely submission of mechanical scope documentation for technical and commercial offers.

. Incorporate all tender bulletins and addenda.

2. Quantity Take-Off & Cost Estimation

. Perform precise take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, water supply, firefighting, and medical gas systems.

. Calculate labor, material, and equipment requirements based on project methodology.

. Conduct detailed rate analysis and cost modeling.

Maintain historical price data and use benchmark comparisons to ensure estimate accuracy.
