Position Summary
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment, with a primary focus on boilers, RO (Reverse Osmosis)plants, utility systems, and production machinery. The role ensures maximum equipment uptime, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement of mechanical reliability within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and conveyors.
Diagnose mechanical failures and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and identify potential risks or maintenance needs.
Maintain detailed maintenance records using the CMMS system. Boiler Operation & Maintenance
Oversee daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.
Perform routine checks on fuel systems, burners, feedwater pumps, blowdown systems, and safety valves.
Ensure boiler operations comply with local boiler regulations and safety standards.
Coordinate and support statutory inspections, certifications, and pressure vessel testing.
Troubleshoot boiler inefficiencies and recommend improvements for fuel and steam efficiency.
RO Plant & Water Treatment System Maintenance
Monitor and maintain RO plant components including high-pressure pumps, membranes, pre- treatment filters, dosing systems, and storage tanks.
Conduct quality checks on permeate water to ensure compliance with process requirements.
Perform membrane cleaning (CIP), replacement, and preventive maintenance on water treatment systems.
Troubleshoot water quality deviations and take corrective actions to restore normal operation.
Utilities & Facility Support
Maintain and support utility systems such as chilled water plants, cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC units, and piping networks.
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment or upgrades.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance work. Safety, Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety protocols, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
Participate in safety audits, root cause analysis (RCA), and risk assessments.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for boilers, RO plant, and mechanical equipment.
Support continuous improvement programs (TPM, Kaizen, 5S).
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹11,102.05 - ₹25,000.00 per month
