MECHANICAL SYSTEMS QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality control inspections, reviews, and testing for mechanical systems (HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, chilled water, etc.).
• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures aligned with project requirements and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Review mechanical drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and material approvals.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DM, DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense, etc.).
• Interface with contractors, consultants, and clients for QA/QC coordination and inspections.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and reports.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers and site teams.

Technical Capabilities Required:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems required, including HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, CIBSE, and UAE-specific codes and standards.
• Experience with testing, commissioning, and balancing (TAB) of mechanical systems.
• Experience with the installation and testing & commissioning of main hotel kitchen systems and equipment, including cold storage rooms, kitchen extract systems, and LPG systems is a major plus.
• Proficient in reviewing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.
• Excellent understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
• Ability to lead QA/QC efforts in a team and independently.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE

Qualifications Preferred:

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE – ASQ or equivalent).
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
• UAE Society of Engineers Membership.
• DEWA/ADDC/DM/DCD approvals (advantageous).

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
