Job Title: Mechanical Technician (Nuclear/power plant)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement work packages, procedures, and schedules for mechanical activities.
- Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance activities as per the planned schedule.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the preparation, planning, execution, and closeout of all related work packages to meet outage milestones.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve operational issues and support implementation of modifications.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and team members on mechanical systems maintenance and operations.
- Support outage planning, execution, and post-outage evaluations, specifically related to valves and other mechanical components.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Radiation Protection, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment and situational awareness of outage schedules.
- Lead the development and implementation of scheduling processes, resolve conflicts, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members as required.
- Work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of services.
Qualifications, Experience & SkillsMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline (with sufficient relevant experience).
Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and leadership roles within a nuclear power plant.
- a minimum of 7+ years of experience; this time, candidates should have at least 3–5 years of experience in either nuclear or power plant environments.
Job-Specific Skills
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of valves, actuators, pumps, compressors, and piping systems.
- Hands-on experience in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical components in nuclear power plants or industrial environments.
- Skilled in mechanical tools, alignment equipment, testing tools, and repair procedures.
- Strong understanding of nuclear industry standards, codes, and safety requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during outage maintenance periods.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Salary Range
- Non-TCN: 6,000 – 8,000 AED
- TCN: 12,000 – 15,000 AED
