Senior Mechanic - Heavy Vehicle Diesel Engine

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanic with expertise in Heavy Vehicle Diesel Engine to join our client's team, a reputable VIP Family in Abu Dhabi. A mechanical technician repairs and maintains a variety of equipment, such as diesel and petrol engines, transmissions, and high-pressure pumps, and is also responsible for making sure that all processes are performed in a safe manner.

Responsibilities:

• Repair mechanical systems by first dividing complex problems and then determining ways to troubleshoot them.
• Perform both preventative and regular maintenance work on assigned mechanical systems to ensure that they work efficiently and minimize chances of breakdown and downtime.
• Install and repair components required to run mechanical systems properly to ensure minimum downtime.
• Test all equipment for proper operations and ensure that it is properly calibrated before it is due to be used.
• Create reports on malfunctions and ensure that they are timely submitted to supervisors.
• Oversee inventory of required components, parts, and supplies for repairing and maintaining mechanical systems.
• As certain work compliances with standards, tolerances fit and ensure that all practices are in sync with sound engineering standards and protocols.
• Test equipment for proper operations and install new or reconditioned parts to mechanical systems.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair a vast variety of equipment such as diesel engines, transmissions, winches, and high-pressure pumps.
• Test and recheck all repairs to ensure that they are in accordance with specifications and protocols.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical, desirable not mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a mechanic, with heavy vehicle diesel engines
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex issues in machinery
• Strong knowledge of diesel and petrol engines and components
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication in Hindi, English, and Arabic will be an added advantage.
• Organizational and maintenance planning skills.
• Must have a valid UAE driving license

Benefits:
The salary is AED3,000 - AED3,500 plus free accommodation and food. All other benefits as per UAE labour laws.
