Job Description – Mechanical / Welding NDT Engineer

Position: Mechanical / Welding NDT Engineer
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Location: Across sites/projects (as per company requirement)
Industry Preference: CPWD / Government Building Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out NDT inspections (UT, RT, PT, MT, VT) for welding and mechanical works in compliance with project specifications and CPWD standards.
• Review and implement approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
• Monitor and verify welding, fabrication, and erection activities at site.
• Prepare detailed NDT reports and maintain quality documentation as per CPWD/government requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and client representatives for inspections and approvals.
• Identify non-conformities, recommend corrective/preventive actions, and ensure compliance.
• Support QA/QC team in ensuring adherence to codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Work independently and flexibly at any site/project assigned by the company.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in CPWD government building/infrastructure projects.
• Valid NDT Level II certification in UT, RT, PT, MT (at least two methods mandatory; more is an advantage).
• Sound knowledge of welding codes (ASME, AWS, IS codes, etc.).
• Strong reporting and documentation skills as per government norms.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to relocate/work at any site/project.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
