Shift Options

  • Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rotating Weekends)

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Rotating Weekends)

Compensation & Incentives

Base Pay (Experience-Based):

  • $27.72/hr (early career)

  • $33.00/hr (5 years)

  • $36.30/hr (10 years)

  • $39.60/hr (15+ years)

Shift Differentials:

  • Nights: $3.00/hr

  • Weekends: $2.00/hr

Sign-On Bonus:

  • $10,000 – Days

  • $15,000 – Nights

Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

Position Summary

The Med-Surg Orthopedic Registered Nurse provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with medical and orthopedic conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independent decision-making, and effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team.

Selected candidates will participate in a shadow interview as part of the hiring process to ensure alignment with unit workflow, patient acuity, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments

  • Analyze clinical data to identify patient needs and establish nursing diagnoses

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

  • Advocate for patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuity of care

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and protocols

  • Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and recovery plans

  • Promote efficient use of time, supplies, and clinical resources

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year recent Registered Nurse experience

  • Acute care experience strongly preferred; LTAC experience considered

  • Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license

    • Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation

  • BLS required (current)

  • ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire

  • RN Diploma or Associate Degree required

  • BSN preferred
