Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Technician (Med Tech), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care across diverse settings. As a Med Tech, you will assist with clinical procedures, monitor patient health, and support nursing staff to ensure optimal outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments, providing essential medical services to individuals with a wide range of needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and chronic conditions. Your expertise will help create a safe, supportive environment that promotes dignity and well-being for every patient.

  • Assist nursing staff by preparing patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Collect and record accurate medical data using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to maintain comprehensive patient documentation.
  • Administer medications and treatments following strict protocols and HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and safety.
  • Monitor patients’ physiological parameters including vital signs, respiration, and other health indicators; report any abnormalities promptly to the healthcare team.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living such as mobility assistance, hygiene care, and memory support in senior care or hospice settings.
  • Maintain medical supplies and equipment ensuring proper sterilization, functionality, and availability for daily use.
  • Document all procedures accurately in medical records while adhering to medical terminology standards and compliance requirements.

<Skills>

  • Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments with a focus on senior care or hospice services.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures such as catheter care and medication administration.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation and record-keeping.
  • Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or developmental disabilities; adept at providing compassionate memory care and behavioral support.
  • Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of all patient information.
