We're looking for an experienced Media Consultant to join our team immediately. This role is perfect for someone with a strong Media and PR agency background and hands on journalism experience, ready to step into high profile projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (Master's is a plus)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Public Relations consultancy agency
• At least 3 years' journalism experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of media relations, storytelling, and content development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Solid understanding of the UAE, regional and African media landscape
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, acknowledge about media monitoring tools (Meltwater, Talkwalker, Hootsuite) and PR softwares.

What you'll be doing

• Drafting and editing press releases, media statements, speeches, and feature stories
• Developing and executing media engagement strategies and campaign plans
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media outlets
• Providing hands on media relations support (interviews, press briefings, coverage follow up)
• Working on RFPs and contributing to new business proposals
• Supporting client accounts with day to day communications, planning, and reporting
• Monitoring media coverage, tracking KPIs, and preparing analysis reports for clients
• Contributing to social and digital media content planning when needed
• Supporting in crisis communications strategy and response
• Coordinating events, press conferences, and media briefings
