Media/Videographer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Media/Videographer to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the driving force behind capturing compelling visual content that elevates our brand and engages our audience. Your expertise in filming, editing, and post-production will help craft captivating videos and imagery that supports worship services, ministry areas, digital ministry, and special projects under the direction of the Director of Communications.

Responsibilities

Video Planning and Production -

Plan, shoot, and edit multiple videos each week for worship services, ministry areas and digital platforms.

Produce both long-form and short-form video content for website, social media and other digital ministry needs.

Capture interviews/footage, interview, build a storyline and edit video content to tell stories of life change, promote special projects, special events and ministry initiatives.

Podcast, Blog & Ongoing Content

Film and edit podcast episodes and blog sharing (via video).

Maintain and manage podcast equipment and studios, keeping setups consistent and ready for recording.

Qualifications:

Ability to creatively develop video concepts, build the story, and plan production elements before filming begins.

Strong video shooting, lighting, audio and editing skills.

Ability to adjust lighting, framing and shooting style as needed during a shoot to support the final video concept.

Able to interview people by putting them at ease to help share information and compelling stories.

Experience producing both long-form and short-form video content.

Ability to manage time well and meet weekly and project-based deadlines.

Can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team while keeping priorities, and timelines/deadlines in mind.

Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.

Possess an understanding of Christian work environment.

Affirm without reservation the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).

Demonstrate a credible profession and experience of faith in Christ.

Passionate about the mission and vision of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville.

Must be, or be willing to become, a member of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing, walking or working with video equipment.

Prolonged periods of editing at a computer.

Regularly lift/move 25 pounds.
