Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our cardiology office. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support within diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential support to healthcare providers while ensuring exceptional patient service. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in clinical tasks, medical terminology, and electronic health record (EHR) systems, contributing to efficient and compassionate patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as EKG. blood pressure, and pulse.
• Maintain accurate documentation within EHR system.
• Answering phones.
• Prepping charts.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration protocols.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments including hospital medicine or medical-surgical units.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
