Duties

• Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration to monitor patient health status accurately
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
• Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound dressing changes
• Perform basic anatomy and physiology assessments to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Document patient interactions thoroughly in EHR systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures
• Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment to uphold safety standards

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and inpatient/outpatient care protocols
• Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling; familiarity with ICD coding is a plus
• Ability to perform intake procedures efficiently while demonstrating excellent patient service skills
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and basic emergency response techniques including basic life support certification
