Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a seamless patient experience
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist providers during patient consultations with procedures such as vital signs collection, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), including accurate documentation of medical histories, treatment plans, and medical records management
- Support clinical workflows by performing intake assessments, recording vital signs, and updating patient charts with detailed medical documentation
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and patient communications to optimize clinic flow and patient satisfaction
- Assist with basic pharmacology knowledge for medication management and understanding of ICD coding for accurate billing and record keeping
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while handling administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing referrals, and processing insurance information
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office support within outpatient or clinic settings; familiarity with dermatology, internal medicine, or hospital medicine is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support clinical tasks effectively
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Eclinicall management tools for accurate documentation and data entry
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally in diverse healthcare environments including urgent care or hospital settings
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred
- Experience working in hospital or Level I Trauma Center environments enhances your ability to handle high-pressure situations confidently
- Knowledge of ICD coding standards and medical records management ensures compliance and billing accuracy

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
