Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Job Overview
Our Center is seeking for a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk and beyond. Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Collect patient histories, record vital signs, and assist with basic clinical procedures such as injections or medication administration.
Must have phlebotomy experience
Must be skilled in IV placement
Support physicians and healthcare providers during examinations, including taking X-rays or assisting with minor procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings.
Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and insurance or ICD coding to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and preparing exam rooms for patient visits.
Assist with patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and health maintenance strategies across diverse specialties like dermatology, geriatrics, or internal medicine.
Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals within hospital or clinic settings.Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures.
Experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments—preferably within Level I or Level II trauma centers—and familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care workflows.
Proficiency in EHR systems for documentation, intake processing, vital signs recording, ICD coding, and medication administration.
Knowledge of X-ray procedures and hospital experience in medical-surgical units enhances your versatility in supporting clinical teams.
Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings such as Level I trauma centers or busy clinics specializing in internal medicine or dermatology.
