Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Job Overview
Our Center is seeking for a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk and beyond. This vital role combines patient-centered medical support with administrative excellence, ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences. You will handle patient intake, assist with clinical procedures, and manage vital documentation, all while maintaining a lively, positive environment that promotes health and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Collect patient histories, record vital signs, and assist with basic clinical procedures such as injections or medication administration.
  • Must have phlebotomy experience
  • Must be skilled in IV placement
  • Support physicians and healthcare providers during examinations, including taking X-rays or assisting with minor procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and insurance or ICD coding to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and preparing exam rooms for patient visits.
  • Assist with patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and health maintenance strategies across diverse specialties like dermatology, geriatrics, or internal medicine.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals within hospital or clinic settings.Skills
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures.
  • Experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments—preferably within Level I or Level II trauma centers—and familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care workflows.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems for documentation, intake processing, vital signs recording, ICD coding, and medication administration.
  • Knowledge of X-ray procedures and hospital experience in medical-surgical units enhances your versatility in supporting clinical teams.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings such as Level I trauma centers or busy clinics specializing in internal medicine or dermatology.
  • Demonstrated professionalism with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork in high-pressure environments.
