Medical Assistant/Scribe

Document the patient history, including history of present illness, review of
systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies.
Scribes document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician.
Scribes document the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the physician.
Scribes document the correct time of patient care related activities, including physician to physician
communication, family communication and re-examination of the patient.

1. Maintain and demonstrate an understanding of the team approach to patient care and documentation.
Complete and present the medical record in collaboration with the supervising staff.

Communicate in a professional and respectful manner to patients and staff.

Treat all information, data and training materials utilized in the scope of the Scribe position

Detail oriented , obtain patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting our practitioners during medical procedures.

• Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
• Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
• Handle billing process
• Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
• Set-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests
• Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
• Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
