Medical Billing Specialist - IN PERSON

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team! We are growing rapidly and need an experienced and driven additional member for our team to assist in various aspects of the AR process.

Duties:

- Verifying insurance and submitting claims

- Follow up on unpaid claims

- Identify and resolve denials

- Track and manage outstanding patient and insurance accounts, ensuring timely payments and follow up on past due balances while managing the AR report

- Negotiating third party agreements for claims

- Utilize medical collection best practices to minimize accounts receivable

- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies

- appealing various refund denials

- follow up with pending cases

- posting payments in billing software

- printing and mailing medical records in response to insurance requests

- track trends in insurance denials and come up with solutions with the team to increase revenue

- answer calls from patients and facilities regarding billing questions

Experience:
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding systems
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and medical records management
- Previous experience in medical billing is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
