Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day laboratory operations.
- Oversee and train laboratory staff to ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
- Monitor laboratory tests, reports, and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Implement and monitor internal and external quality assurance programs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accreditation guidelines.
- Maintain stock, inventory, and timely ordering of lab supplies.
- Prepare performance reports and assist management in decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, clinicians, and patients (when required).
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and new test implementation.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience (managerial/supervisory role preferred).
- Strong knowledge of clinical pathology, hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and histopathology.
- Hands-on experience with modern automated analyzers and laboratory software (LIS).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a team effectively.
