Medical Laboratory Technologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage day-to-day laboratory operations.
• Oversee and train laboratory staff to ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
• Monitor laboratory tests, reports, and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Implement and monitor internal and external quality assurance programs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accreditation guidelines.
• Maintain stock, inventory, and timely ordering of lab supplies.
• Prepare performance reports and assist management in decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, clinicians, and patients (when required).
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and new test implementation.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (or equivalent recognized qualification).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience (managerial/supervisory role preferred).
• Strong knowledge of clinical pathology, hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and histopathology.
• Hands-on experience with modern automated analyzers and laboratory software (LIS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a team effectively.
